Departing from Main Beach at 6:00am, our half-day and full-day private charters are tailored exclusively for your group. Choose from our fleet of large, stable vessels including the MV SeaQuest and MV Fat Hooker purpose-built for serious fishing and good times. We cater for groups of 12 to 28 guests, with everything supplied: premium rods, bait, tackle, and guidance from our expert skipper and deckhand.
Spend your day chasing the Gold Coast’s best reef and game species from Snapper, Mackerel, and Tuna to Kingfish, Wahoo, and Marlin while enjoying great company, ocean views, and maybe a few brag-worthy catches. Everything You Need to Know

Before you set out for your private charter fishing adventure, here’s everything you need to know to make it smooth, safe, and unforgettable. From what to bring and where to meet to how the day runs offshore, our crew has thought of everything so you can focus on the fishing, the fun, and the memories you’ll make along the way.

Your safety is always our top priority. If strong winds or rough seas are forecast, your trip will be rescheduled to another suitable date. You’ll receive a text or call the evening before if conditions look unsafe. Charters still go ahead in light rain – just bring a jacket and your sense of adventure.

Private charters can be rescheduled with at least 14 days’ notice, subject to vessel availability. Cancellations are not permitted. If insufficient notice is given or your group doesn’t attend, your booking or voucher will be forfeited as per our Terms and Conditions.

Not at all! Our private charters are perfect for everyone from first-time fishers to seasoned anglers. The crew provides hands-on tuition, showing your group how to bait, reel, and land fish safely while keeping things fun and relaxed.

We cater for private groups of 12, 16, or 28 guests, depending on the vessel. Whether it’s a mates’ day out, family adventure, corporate function, or club event, we’ll match you with the ideal boat for your group size.

Absolutely! We can provide nibble platters, buffet lunches, drinks, and other catering options on request. You’re also welcome to BYO beer (in cans) and wine in moderation. Please note: no spirits or glass bottles are permitted onboard for safety reasons.

Bring a hat, sunscreen, sunglasses, and a light jacket if rain is forecast. If catering isn’t pre-arranged, feel free to bring your own food and drinks. We supply everything else – bait, tackle, gear, and expert guidance.

If anyone in your group is prone to motion sickness, we recommend taking preventative medication before boarding. Our large, stable vessels are built for comfort, with shaded seating, private toilets, and plenty of deck space to move around.

A deposit is required to confirm your booking, with the balance due before departure. We accept card, cash, or invoice by prior arrangement. Secure online payment is also available through our booking portal.

Yes! All legal-sized fish are yours to keep. Our crew will gill, gut, and bag your catch so it’s ready for your esky or the BBQ. It’s the perfect way to end your day offshore.

All charters depart from The Spit Pontoon, Muriel Henchman Drive, Main Beach, QLD (near Sea World). Follow the blue “Charter Boats” signs – there’s plenty of free parking available close to the jetty.
