Spend your afternoon chasing the Gold Coast’s most exciting reef and game species aboard one of our big, stable True Blue vessels. Departing from Main Beach at 11:00am sharp, this 5-hour deep sea fishing charter takes you through the iconic Seaway and out to carefully chosen offshore fishing grounds.

Whether you’re new to fishing or a seasoned angler, our experienced skipper and deckhand will be there every step of the way – teaching proven techniques to help you hook prized catches like Snapper, Mackerel, Tuskfish, Teraglin, Cobia, Wahoo, Tuna, and more.   • Weather: Charters may be rescheduled in the event of high winds or rough seas. Trips go ahead in light rain – just bring a jacket!

Everything You Need to Know

Before you head out for your afternoon fishing adventure, here’s everything you need to know to make your trip easy, safe, and unforgettable. From what to bring to where to meet, our crew has taken care of every detail so all you need to do is relax, cast off, and enjoy the Gold Coast sunshine.

Your safety is always our top priority. If strong winds or large swells are forecast, we’ll reschedule your trip to another day. You’ll receive a text or call the evening before if conditions look unsafe. Charters still operate in light rain – just bring a jacket and enjoy the experience.

Bookings can’t be cancelled, but you can reschedule with notice:

  • Shared charters: 7 days’ notice
  • Private charters: 14 days’ notice

If you miss your trip or provide less notice than required, your booking (or voucher) will be forfeited as per our Terms and Conditions.

Not at all. Our afternoon charters are ideal for both beginners and experienced anglers. The crew provides expert guidance on baiting, casting, and reeling – helping you feel confident on the rod and ready to land your catch.

Yes, kids aged 7 and up are welcome on all shared charters. Younger children can join via private booking. Please note, children under 14 must be accompanied by an adult at all times.

Bring a hat, sunscreen, and a light jacket if rain is expected. You’re also welcome to bring snacks and drinks. Beer (in cans) and wine are allowed in moderation but please, no spirits or glass bottles onboard.

We don’t issue refunds for seasickness, so it’s a good idea to take preventative medication before boarding. Our vessels are large, stable, and shaded to help keep you comfortable during your trip.

We accept both card and cash payments. A deposit secures your booking, and the balance is due before departure. If you book online, payment can be made easily through our secure booking system.

Yes! All legal-sized fish are yours to take home. Our crew will gill, gut, and bag your catch so it’s ready for the fridge, freezer, or BBQ once you return to shore.

Every True Blue Fishing vessel is fully insured, Queensland Government–survey certified, and equipped with modern safety gear including radios, GPS, lifejackets, and first-aid kits. You’ll receive a full safety briefing before departure

All afternoon trips depart from The Spit Pontoon, Muriel Henchman Drive, Main Beach, QLD (near Sea World). Follow the blue “Charter Boats” signs – there’s plenty of free parking available close to the jetty.
